As you can see, I have added some more details into the background and the clouds in the sky. For perspective reasons, I always start painting a scenery from the distance and then move forward. We don’t know why, we just do it that way. 
Seriously though, it makes it easier for the painting process in my opinion. One reason is that my eyes tend to look farther away when I view things at first and gradually focus on the closer stuff. I think the eye just naturally does that, but then again, I am mostly blind so what do I know? 
I wish I could get the photos to turn out better but that’s what I get for waiting till late at night to take the things. Once I take a picture in the natural daylight, it will be easier to see how the colors are blending together. I am actually getting more excited to paint on it again. Then again, maybe it’s because I have another project in the works I haven’t posted yet because I am still gathering supplies. Ordering then waiting.
Well, gonna post this and then work some more on some stuff before I hit the sack. Good night to all!
Every so often I get the urge to just paint something sort of weird but funny…at least funny to me. The weather has begun to warm and the other day I was looking at these birds on the line in our side yard. The bluebird was sitting there minding his/her own business and along came these 3 darker birds (probably starlings) and just tried to crowd the bluebird out of the way. The bluebird was holding his/her own though and glanced over at the other birds as if to say “don’t even think about it!”
So tonight I decided to pull out the watercolors and capture that in my own cartoony way. I love watercolor paint, but I am no good with it, imho, but I still paint with it sometimes thinking that maybe some miracle will happen and all of sudden I will get it.
Well, I need to get back to work on the banner I am creating for the friend’s website I mentioned in an earlier post so good night to all!
Well, it doesn’t look like much has been done on this since I last posted an update, but really I have spent a ton of time…looking at it. Unfortunately, I have not done as much with this painting as I had hoped in the beginning. Most of the work that has been done has been on the clouds, the horizon and the background. I’ve done some work on the water but not a lot. Once I get more detail painted in, I will post a larger image so it can be viewed, but at this point I just don’t see it is necessary.
At least I have been doing some work on it each day even if it isn’t a lot and for that I am happy. I think I have finally gotten the image issue fixed so with that out of the way I can focus more on what I am doing this for – the art.
I have been working with my online stores the past 2 days trying to get things organized with the transition and creating some new items to sell. The painting is sitting there staring at me, mocking me, on occasion blowing a raspberry. I am still feeling disappointment in the fact that it has turned into another landscape rather than the original idea and with that feeling comes my working through it and acceptance of what it is. Once those feelings are experienced I think I will be able to continue it with excitement. Until that time, I continue to work on the other projects. Nothing to show for the work I am doing right now as it is mainly just getting files and folders created/moved around on my computer for easy access. Lots of templates.
More research has been done as well as I seek answers to some issues I have been experiencing and also on tutorials of how to do certain things with the website. So, that is about all I have to report for today and yesterday’s work and hopefully will have something finished to post tomorrow.
